We just launched the new Hangar 1 Vodka website that we designed and developed (including fabricating a gigantic neon sign) over that last few months.
We’ve been working closely with them on the relaunch of their brand this last year, and can’t wait to show more of the work as it comes out in the coming months.
Early on, I think before the script was even finished, Rian had The Made Shop do some preliminary concept work for helping to visualize some of the future weapons and vehicles in Looper. Ultimately, the direction I was moving in wasn’t right for the world Rian had in mind. I had a much more stereotypical “cool” sci-fi future in mind, but one of the best things about the actual near-future world Rian and his production designer created for Looper is how realistic, worn-down, make-shift, and un-techy it feels while still being subtly mind-blowing and disorienting. It’s actually quite remarkable.
Above are a few of the early concepts we proposed, and even though they were the wrong tone for Looper, I’m still pretty happy with them. So when you go see Looper (tonight) you won’t see any of these — which is absolutely as it should be, I think you’ll agree. But I still wouldn’t mind riding that Slat Bike around in 30 years :)
Just got the new brochures we designed for Stranahan’s Whiskey back from the printers Also, rumor has it that the last bottling crew to come through the distillery was filling up the NEW bottles we designed — so you just might start seeing those out in the wild soon :D
