Been a great year. Let’s go 2013! New Made Shop linear calendar
That looks like a very well-used 2012 calendar. Here’s to the new year!
The new Made Shop 2013 Linear Calendars are now available!
As always, we print them with a giant old letterpress onto thick poster stock. This year we are making a blue with red ink and a warm charcoal with silvery-white ink.
As those of you who’ve been following The Made Shop for a long time probably know, this whole linear calendar thing started as an experiment for my personal use four years ago because I wanted a beautiful year-at-a-glance calendar without a bunch of unusable month-boxes and I couldn’t find anything like that, so I ended up designing one myself. I posted the first one on tumblr, and tons of people wrote in saying they wanted to buy one. And now every year since we’ve just continued to make more and more of these. We’re so happy to keep making these for all of you each year.
They’re just $25 and available for order now, and will start shipping soon after Thanksgiving.
Just got these photos of our 2012 Linear Calendars being letterpress printed over at Studio on Fire.
Should be getting them here today and shipping orders tomorrow. So there’s still time to buy one today for Christmas delivery!

The Made Shop’s 2012 Linear Calendar
We came up with this idea a few years ago for a full-year poster calendar that, instead of showing all the months as a bunch of tiny boxes, kept each month intact as a complete line across a grid of weeks and weekends. Initially we just made them for ourselves, but we started making more and selling them because people on tumblr really liked the idea.
It’s now become my favorite and most useful calendar format for planning and projects, because it seems to be a much more natural way to view multiple weeks, unbroken weekends, and because it allows easy notes for deadlines and trips which isn’t normally possible on standard year-at-a-glance calendars. Also, they look really cool.
They’re limited-edition debossed letterpress-printed in single colors onto nice thick paper. This year we’re doing Pantone silver ink on white, and magenta on yellow.
You can buy them in our shop for the quite-reasonable price of $25.
We’re finalizing the 2012 designs and approving the letterpress plates this weekend. We’ll post them in our shop on Monday.
As promised, dear tumblrs:
The new and improved Made Shop 2011 Linear Month Calendar
This year’s design is simple and clean — set in Alte Haas Grotesk & League Gothic, and we’re hand letterpressing them in black, red, & blue on heavy 100lb ecru paper. (25 available of each)
They’re $25, and we can do Christmas delivery for U.S. orders placed by December 16th.
Happy Happy!
