Katie Chastain of Faux Fix // Faux Fix
I just finished making this lovely new Tumblr theme for the launch of Katie Chastain and Nathan Johnson’s new (wicked, wicked, wicked) musical project: Faux Fix.
I’ve heard some early mixes of the new songs, and I can’t tell you guys how excited I am about it.
So go check out the new site and follow along for behind-the-scenes documentation of them finishing the album, show dates, videos, and eventually the album release!
As an (extraordinarily expensive :) wedding gift to Nathan & Katie I offered to have The Made Shop do all the typography and print design for their wedding.

I saw Nathan’s reblog of my Firecracker post, and remembered that Kate took an old photo of that closet we recorded my parts in. Playing my Gretsch through Seth’s cigarette-box amplifier. Circa 2005.
Sometimes when you art direct an album they also let you play guitar.
A Day In New York: Pre-Production for Katie Chastain’s new video.
Editing with Justin & Ronen at Next New Networks (3pm) after shooting with Joe (9.30am), before coloring with Brenden at Fluid (6pm-7am). This is how you shoot a music video in 3 days!

Well, if this ain’t a list of songs I’d like to hear…
On the door outside the vocal booth.
I don’t think I can swear in my head voice.
From the aforementioned Tumblr Dinner.
Moar! :)
This month Nathan & I are taking a writing holiday at the Thanet House in lovely Bournemouth, England. This is a short clip of us working on a new song with Chris Mears of New Volunteer.
