Sunday afternoon viewing. Loved the whole film, but especially the Klosterman interview that runs through it.
I’ve had a tumblr post sitting in drafts for over a year now tentatively titled “On Pretension” where I’ve been trying to piece together some thoughts on why I think pretension is more often than not a really good thing. Then watching this today I was simultaneously elated and disappointed when James Murphy sums the whole thought up in a few short perfect sentences.
